Definition of Conditional Sentences
Conditional sentence consists of two clauses; the if-clause, and the main clause. The if-clause can come first or second. When it comes first, we usually put a comma between the two clauses.

Conditional sentences divided by 3 types, it has :
  • Type I (possible)
            If +S + V1/V.base + O, S + will + V1 + O.
            If clause(syarat)         Main clause (hasil)
           
Example :
1.    If it rains, I will bring umbrella
2.    If the bell rings, I will go home.

      Type II (Impossible)
            If + S + V2 + O, S + would + V1 + O
            If clause                  Main Clause

Example :
1.    If we listened to the radio, we would hear the news.
2.    He would win the game If he played well
           
      Type III (Impossible)
            S + had + V3, S + would have + V3
            If clause               Main Clause

Example :
If Shinta had gone to Bali years ago, She would have seen kuta beach.

Sample :
         Type I :
            If the bell rings, I’ll go home.
         Type II :
            If she studied hard, she would not failed exam.
         Type III :
            If He had gone, I would not meet him
